At almost 9.5km the Scotland Island race represents the longest dragon boat race on the calendar.  The race attracts clubs from across Australia.  9 teams energentically paddled it out in two heats, enjoying excellent water conditions.  Less than a minute separated the first three places with Nowra taking out line honours in the impressive time of 48.40.
